
Arab Potash Company recently announced its financial contribution to the reconstruction and development of the Ghor Al-Mazraa Comprehensive Health Center in the southern Jordan Valley, in partnership with the Jordanian Banks Association, with a budget of 1.6 million Jordanian dinars, and in cooperation with the "Himmetna" charity. Health Minister Dr. Feras Hawari laid the foundation stone for the reconstruction of the health center on Saturday, in the presence of the Secretary-General for Primary Health Care and Epidemics Dr. Raed Al-Shuboul, Chairman of the Arab Potash Company Engineer Shhada Abu Hdaib, Vice President of the Jordanian Banks Association Ammar Al-Safadi, President of Himmetna Charity Dr. Fadia Samara, and representatives of supporting organizations and civil society institutions.
This project is part of the Arab Potash Company's corporate social responsibility strategy, which focuses on supporting sectors with a sustainable positive impact, including the health sector. The aim is to enhance health services provided to citizens by supporting and empowering institutions working within this sector. Engineer Shhada Abu Hdaib, Chairman of Arab Potash Company, commented: "Our corporate responsibility strategy is based on sustainability, focusing on supporting sectors with long-term positive impacts such as education, health, youth, women, and others contributing to sustainable development in the Kingdom."
He emphasized that the health sector is a priority within this strategy because the company believes in the importance of providing exceptional health services to local communities. "Our support for the reconstruction of the Ghor Al-Mazraa Health Center aims to strengthen the infrastructure of health centers in the areas within the scope of Arab Potash's work and provide the best medical services to patients residing near these centers," he added. Engineer Abu Hdaib also highlighted the company's commitment to working with various governmental, private, and civil society organizations to implement vital projects with a lasting positive impact on the local community.
The center, which spans over 1,917 square meters, will undergo significant development, including the addition of new medical specialty clinics that meet the health and treatment needs of the local population. Key additions include an orthopedic clinic, rehabilitation and physical therapy department, an integrated maternal and child health department, and an expanded dental department with a new dental clinic, dental lab, and panoramic x-ray imaging. Additionally, a pediatric clinic, internal medicine clinic, general medicine clinic, community medicine clinic, and a mammogram room will be introduced.
