He said, in an interview with the Jordan News Agency (Petra), that the number of patient visits to the center increased to 7,300 patients in 2024, compared to 1,500 patients in 2022, and that the monthly average of patients jumped from 150 patients per month in 2022 to 730 patients in 2024.
Chemotherapy sessions also increased from 652 doses in 2022 to 6,008 doses in 2024.
He pointed out that satisfaction with the services of the center, which was opened in cooperation between the "Himmatna" initiative, the Ministry of Health, and the King Hussein Cancer Center, is very high, and is equivalent to the level of satisfaction with the King Hussein Cancer Center and American hospitals.
He explained that the center treats specific types of tumors, such as tumors of the digestive system, lungs, urinary system, and breast, and includes more than 20 medical specialties.
The center relies on comprehensive cooperation with Al-Bashir Hospitals, indicating that Al-Hussein Center manages outpatient clinics and supervises treatment according to approved international protocols.

For her part, the head of the Himmatna Association, Fadia Samara, explained that the association played a pivotal role in rehabilitating the Samih Darwazeh Oncology Center within Al-Bashir Hospitals, by mobilizing cash and in-kind donations from companies, civil society institutions, and individuals.
She stressed that the rehabilitation operations were carried out in accordance with international protocols to ensure the quality of care provided, indicating that the first phase of the project was implemented on an area of 1,700 square meters and included equipping patients’ rooms and facilities, while the second phase covered 600 square meters to include equipping outpatient clinics and chemotherapy rooms.
She added that the center currently has 46 beds and provides integrated treatment services in cooperation with the King Hussein Cancer Center and the Ministry of Health, stressing the importance of expansion in light of the great demand for the center’s services and the trust that patients have gained, which has contributed to enhancing hope for treatment within government facilities.
She pointed out that these efforts and the combination of the Oncology and Diagnostic Radiology Center and the Samih Darwazeh Center in Al Bashir Hospitals support the effective investment of resources, and positively impact the health of.
