The Ministry of Health launched a national campaign on Monday, the first of its kind, for the early detection of developmental hip dislocation at Princess Basma Comprehensive Health Center, with support from the Hope Chain Organization.
The campaign aims to expand healthcare services for children and provide the best opportunity for all children suspected of having developmental hip dislocation through early diagnosis and intervention, ultimately giving them a better quality of life.
Dr. Riyad Al-Shayyab, Director of Primary Healthcare at the Ministry of Health, who launched the campaign on behalf of Minister of Health Dr. Firas Al-Hawari, stated that the campaign aims to detect developmental hip dislocation in children, which represents a developmental delay that can be treated early to avoid complications that may arise if diagnosed late.
He added that early detection is a key pillar of primary healthcare and rehabilitation services, which aim not only to achieve medical recovery but also to enable children to live a dignified life with physical and mental health, allowing them to carry out their daily activities and enjoy their rights independently and effectively.
