In collaboration with Himmetna Health, the Distinguished Volunteers Team Association, Abbott, and the King Hussein Cancer Center, the Ministry of Health, represented by the Princess Basma Comprehensive Health Center, launched a "Pink October" celebration on Thursday, October 31, 2024. The event included free breast cancer screenings and an awareness lecture about the topic due to its great importance. Several awareness activities were also held at the center.
October is Breast Cancer Awareness Month, a time to spread awareness about the importance of early detection and psychological support for patients. Breast cancer is one of the most common cancers among women, but early detection can significantly increase the chances of recovery.
The management and staff of the Princess Basma Comprehensive Health Center oversaw these activities from all aspects and provided services to patients and participants in the campaign to the fullest. It is very important to consistently raise awareness among people, which is exactly what the Princess Basma Comprehensive Health Center, led by Dr. Safwan Dabbaneh, is committed to doing.
