The Ministry of Health signed a cooperation agreement with the Himmetna Charitable Initiative to rehabilitate and develop (25) government health centers across the Kingdom.
The agreement was signed by the Minister of Health, Dr. Firas Al-Hawari, and the head of the “Himmetna" initiative, Dr. Fadia Samara, in the presence of the Secretary General of the Ministry of Health for Administrative and Technical Affairs, Dr. Elham Khreisat.
The agreement aims to improve the quality of health services provided to citizens, enhance primary health care and reduce overcrowding in hospitals, by establishing an engineering medical model that applies international health standards and takes into account the flow of patients and the ease of obtaining the required health care without any effort.
The agreement establishes the role of constructive partnership between civil society institutions and the private sector in supporting public sector institutions in order to improve medical services provided to citizens and to promote a culture of community support and participation in the development of medical service sectors and competencies working in these sectors.
The signing of this agreement comes after the Himmetna initiative implemented two projects to support the medical sector in partnership with the Ministry of Health and Royal Medical Services, namely the Samih Darwazah Cancer Center project in Al-Bashir hospitals and the specialized therapeutic isolation and intensive care project in Al-Hussein Medical City.
The Himmetna initiative has started with the implementation of the first phase of the health centers rehabilitation project, represented by the rehabilitation and development of the Princess Basma Comprehensive Health Center in the capital and Ghor Al Mazraa Health Center, where the rehabilitation process includes infrastructure works, including demolition, construction, finishes, decoration, furniture, equipment and electricity Mechanics, air conditioning systems and other construction related works.
