Wandering and discovering the dilapidated, hopeless wards around Al Bashir Hospital, Dr. Fadia Samara experienced a calling to serve humanity. It was there that she witnessed the despair and plea to perish of a 30-year old cancer patient who was locked inside one of the hospital’s isolation rooms. Along with her team of passionate professionals who shared the same vision, Dr. Fadia subsequently launched an initiative that would specifically aid in touching the lives of marginalized public populations.
The first of its kind, Himmetna ultimately aims to serve the underprivileged local communities across Jordan by providing them with fair, equal and affordable access to first-rate and efficient healthcare services. Essentially, Dr. Fadia aspired to offer access to those who cannot afford the rates of private hospitals and medical centers and to offer the same quality treatment that is given to those who are within financial means.
Moreover, this charitable nonprofit association aims to fully renovate and rehabilitate existing healthcare facilities that are outdated and upgrade them according to the latest international health standards. The renovation in question entails providing the most advanced infrastructure, an aesthetic visual identity and a patient-centered journey to ultimately yield total satisfaction.
