Crown Prince inaugurates the project to rehabilitate and develop the Princess Basma Comprehensive Health Center

Al Mamlaka -  His Majesty's Deputy King Hussein bin Abdullah II, Crown Prince, inaugurated, on Thursday, a project to rehabilitate and develop the Princess Basma Comprehensive Health Center in the Al Muhajireen area of ​​Ras Al Ain in the capital, Amman.

His Highness listened to an explanation given by Dr. Fadia Samara, Executive Director of the "Himmetna" Charity Association, about the center, which serves 22,000 visitors per month, and will receive emergency cases 24 hours a day, seven days a week.

Samara indicated that the project, which was initiated by the "Himmetna", which was established in 2019, to rehabilitate and develop it with a donation from the private sector, and in partnership with the Ministry of Health, comes within the rehabilitation and development of 25 comprehensive health centers across the Kingdom.

Dr. Samara pointed out that the Ministry of Health provided the center project with logistical and administrative support and medical devices, and appointed additional cadres in various specializations necessary to expand services.

His Highness the Crown Prince considered that the project to rehabilitate and develop the center is a model of social responsibility and cooperation between the public and private sectors and civil society institutions. His Highness pointed out the importance of circulating this model in other medical centers, expressing his appreciation to the (Himmetna) Association and to all the contributors to the implementation of the project.

His Highness the Crown Prince toured the center, which is built on an area of ​​1,700 square meters, and includes various medical specialties and an advanced laboratory.

The rehabilitation and development of the center aimed to improve the quality of health care services provided to patients, reduce overcrowding in government hospitals, take into account all the needs of people with disabilities, and provide a fast track for the elderly.

The opening was attended by the Minister of Health, Dr. Firas Al-Hawari, the Director General of the Royal Medical Services, Brigadier General Dr. Youssef Zureikat, and a number of contributors and volunteers implementing the project.
