Imad Mudar Badran is a graduate of Harvard Business School's Senior Executive Program, Case Studies and Financial Analysis Program in 2004, and holds a master's degree in International Relations and Economics from Johns Hopkins University in 1985. He obtained his bachelor's degree in Economics from the University of Wisconsin-Madison in 1983 in the United States. He graduated as an officer from the Royal Military Academy Sandhurst in 1985 in England.
He is the founder and chairman of the board of Investco-B since 2009. He joined Jordan Iron and Steel Public Shareholding Company in January 1993 as the general manager and founder of the company, and became the CEO of the Jordan Iron and Steel Group until August 2017. In 1987, he joined the Ministry of Foreign Affairs as a diplomat, consul, economic advisor, and political officer at the Jordanian embassy in Washington DC until 1992. In January 1985, he joined the Jordanian Armed Forces as an officer until the end of 1987.
He was born and raised in Amman, Jordan, and has served on the board of directors of several companies in the insurance, real estate, and investment sectors. He is also a board member of several non-governmental organizations such as the Zarqa Chamber of Industry, the Jordanian Businessmen Association, and the Jordanian Exporters Association. He is a member of the Jordanian Strategic Forum, the American Chamber of Commerce in Jordan, and the Young Presidents' Organization. He is married to Aliya Mara'i and has three children: Mudar, Faisal, and Ghazi.
